Thompson Educational Consulting Incorporated's mission is to facilitate the creation of knowledgeable educational communities.  Thompson Consulting has been providing high-caliber professional consulting services for over 28 years. Professional consulting areas have included student evaluations, special education program evaluation, student tutoring, dyslexia support, supervision of special education, response to intervention (RtI), professional development, and additional custom assistance as needed by the client. Our consulting focuses on the latest research and data-driven information to support special education programs, dyslexia, and professional development as determined by the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) and the Texas Education Agency.

Consultants with Thompson Educational Consulting Incorporated education ranges from bachelor to doctorate degrees. Their experiences range from college professors, directors of special education, central office administrators, principals, educational diagnosticians, licensed specialists in school psychology, speech and language pathologists, and special education and general classroom teachers K-12. My company is capable of evaluating 50 to 60 students per year. I have had as many as ten consultants at one time. There are four diagnosticians, one bilingual, two psychologists, and one speech pathologist. They are granted a contract from Thompson Consulting as needed. 

We have provided technical support in supervising special education, student assessment, student tutoring, special education student’s folder audit, dyslexia support, evaluation of HISD 21st Century Program Afterschool Program, Response to Intervention (RtI), and professional development with several charter schools, The Varnett Public School, Pro-Vision Academy, and independent school districts, Stafford Municipal School District, Houston ISD, Fort Bend ISD, and Port Arthur ISD.

Dr. Thompson has extensive experience in education. She was a Special Education Director, Federal Program Director, Middle School Principal, University professor (Houston Baptist & University of Houston Victoria), Special Education Coordinator, general and special education teacher, and CEO of Thompson Educational for over 20 years. In addition, she has presented at several local and national conferences; she remains in constant demand as a consultant in all areas of special education and other areas by charter and independent school districts.
